About Us
Owen and Georgina
Rinehart’s Isinya HDC (horse development
corporation) was essentially started in 1993. With
Georgina’s insight and love of animals her dream of
having foals running around the farm started with
the purchase of Amber Shoes a Topsider stallion bred
by the Centennial farms of New York. Owen first
viewed Amber Shoes playing at Vero Beach polo club
for Adam Snow and after the purchase took him to
California in 93 to play in the U.S. open.
He produced many
foals that went on to play in high goal polo not
only for Owen but for high goal sponsors such as
John Goodman, Skeeter Johnston, Michael Price and
Melissa Ganzi. The Busch’s and Orthwein’s jumped on
board and sent mares to be bred to Amber Shoes. His
foals have raked up numerous Best Playing Pony
awards in Florida and South Carolina.
In 1996 Dicky and
Francis SantaMarina generously gave an agricultural
award winning stallion to the Rinehart’s to continue
on the line of La Fortuna in the United States. This
Stallions name was Lord Franco. His foals are just
coming into their own in Florida playing in the 22
and 26 goal polo. They too have been adding to the
BPP awards winning from 22 goal up to 30 goal.
In 1999 River
became the next generation of polo stallions. He was
the son of Amber
Shoes and New Zealand bred Angie. River followed in
his father’s foot steps by being one of a few polo
playing stallions. An injury as a foal prevented him
from realizing his full potential that his BPP full
sister and brothers have but his incredible heart
and intelligent mind made him ideal for not only
Owen to play but for Georgina also. Sponsors and
Pros that played Amber Shoes babies have sent their
mares to River to continue on the Isinya line. His
babies have already gone on to win BPP in Aiken and
are playing in 26 goal in Florida.
Not to be out
done, Dicky SantaMarina offered to Georgina the pick
of the stallions on a visit to Argentina in 2000.
She picked Lord Lizard. As it turned out he is by
the same stallion as Aiken Cura the 2005 and 2006
BPP for Palermo’s Susan Townley Trophy. The stunning
almost Black stallion has amazing strength and
athletic ability. With the solid La Fortuna breeding
behind him he has all the ability to carry on the La
Fortuna line in Aiken. His babies are showing his
speed, athleticism and love of Polo.
In 2005 Owen was
awarded Best Mounted Player for the whole tournament
in the 26 goal Gold Cup with 6 out of 8 of his
horses from the Isinya horse development
corporation.
In 2007 Owen
received the highest award of the year for winning
the best mounted player in the U.S. Open, with 7 out
of the 8 horses being homebreds.
The Isinya line
is being carried on by Stallions like Aslan, son of
Lord Franco and Angie, Lord Easy son of Lord Franco
and Cool N Easy, and more young River stallions up
and coming.
