Out of a mare
called Angie, a TB from New Zealand, She was one of if
not the best mare I ever had. I played her for many
years often 2 chukkars, she was the mainstay of my
string getting to 10 goals. She was never lame, 15.3
hands. The sire of Aslan was Lord Franco, he came from
the famous breeding from
Argentina of Ricardo Santamarina.
Lord Franco is registered in the TB Jockey Club of
Argentina and the U.S. he was 15.0 hands tall, beautiful
polo type. I am playing many of his daughters now in
open polo. Aslan's oldest foals are 1 yr. olds. Aslan
was broken in and played green horse chukkars, he has an
exceptional mouth just like his mother, also a very good
mover. He has a full sister that was the best mare we
ever raised but because she was so natural I pushed her
too fast as a 5 yr. old and ruined her, a human error,
completely my fault.
