River
is out of a mare
called Angie, a TB from New Zealand, She was one of, if
not, the best mare I ever had. I played her for many
years often 2 chukkars, she was the mainstay of my
string getting to 10 goals. She was never lame, 15.3
hands. River is by Amber
Shoes a TB from the US. Amber Shoes was raised by Centinenial Farms and played polo under Don Little Jr. and then
Adam Snow, Adam persuaded me to buy him as he
knew I was getting into the breeding business. Amber
Shoes has sired many of my top mares. River died last
summer but we were able to freeze enough semen for 10 breedings. He stood 15.1 and had an incredible mouth and
lateral movement. I played his oldest crop in Florida
this winter, 2007. T
hey are now 7 years old and are all
very easy to break, train, play really well, both
geldings and mares. I have kept 4 sons of River as
stallions because I am very happy with everything he has
thrown. Our customers who have bred to River are also
pleased, Julian Daniel's already has a best playing pony
as a 5 yr. old by River.
